Energy efficient PBK floors for passive houses

Floors for passive homes

Our passive homes are built with the PBK floor system from Polistibrick. This insulated floor element creates a solid base for the entire structure and helps keep the indoor climate stable with very low energy use. The PBK panel combines strength, insulation and precision in one component, which makes the installation fast and predictable while supporting the comfort of the home in every season.

Comfort, safety and fast installation

The PBK floor system offers several advantages that make it ideal for energy efficient homes. The panel provides strong resistance during movement of the ground, which helps protect the structure in case of seismic activity. The material is fire resistant and adds an extra level of safety to the home. Because the insulation is integrated inside the floor element, heat loss is reduced and rooms feel warmer and more balanced. The panel also helps reduce sound transmission which creates a quieter and more comfortable interior. Installation is rapid thanks to the lightweight but strong design of the PBK components, which shortens the construction time without reducing quality.

Seismic resistance

The walls keep heat inside during winter and prevent overheating in summer. This creates a stable environment that feels comfortable at all times.

Fire safety

The building envelope prevents uncontrolled air movement. This reduces energy loss and improves indoor comfort.

Termal and accoustic insulation

Every part of the structure is designed to remove weak spots where heat could escape. This supports a consistent temperature in all rooms.

Fast construction

Fresh air is supplied through a ventilation system that filters dust and pollution while recovering heat from the outgoing air. This keeps the home clean healthy and pleasant.

How the PBK floor is built

The PBK panel has a layered structure that combines a resistant core with insulation. Each element is placed on site with precise alignment and fits smoothly into the structural frame. Once positioned, the floor acts as a strong base that supports the next construction phases without the need for complex preparation. Because the insulation is already part of the panel, the home receives immediate thermal protection from below. This reduces energy loss and helps keep the indoor temperature stable. After installation the surface is ready for the systems that follow, including electrical and plumbing paths that can be integrated cleanly.

Interior and exterior finishes

The PBK floor system offers a stable and uniform surface that is ready for finishing once the installation is complete. Any material that adheres to concrete can be applied directly, which makes the finishing stage simple and efficient. Because the floor is precisely aligned, the final result is smooth and consistent across all rooms. This supports a wide range of finishing choices, from modern clean styles to more traditional looks.
