Walls for passive homes

Our passive homes are built with the MBK wall system from Polistibrick. This wall element combines insulation and structure in one single component. It keeps warmth inside during winter, blocks heat in summer and creates a stable indoor climate with very low energy use. The MBK wall is placed on site as a ready form. Once filled with concrete it becomes a strong and efficient wall that supports the comfort of the entire home.

The wall element arrives ready to install. Each panel has insulation on the inside and a firm board on the outside. The panels are placed together to form the exact shape of the wall. Once everything is aligned the concrete is poured into the center. The concrete bonds directly to the insulation which removes weak points and keeps the wall fully sealed. After the concrete sets the wall becomes one strong monolithic structure. This helps reduce energy loss, improves stability and creates a smooth and consistent surface that is ready for finishing.

Interior and exterior finishes

Once the MBK walls are installed and the concrete has set, the surface is ready for finishing without extra preparation. This makes the process faster than with traditional systems. Any material that normally adheres to concrete can be applied directly, which gives you full freedom in choosing the final look of your home.

Ventilated facades are installed especially quickly, as cladding panels can be fixed straight onto the fibre cement boards on the outside of the wall. No additional layers or complex anchoring systems are needed, which keeps the result clean, stable and long lasting.
